RTW Convair 580 Files

Postby AS129 - Michael » 02 Aug 2011 04:54

Just curious if anyone who flew the old RTW flights with us many years still have the aircraft and sound files. I thought I had them on a back-up of my personal website but sadly the flash-drive gave up the ghost and all was lost.

Thanks in advance and I'll keep searching to see if they might be online someplace.

Hey Michael, great to see you back again! :) I scoured my drive thinking i'd saved everything like I normally do but alas I couldn't find those files - i have an old computer sitting in dust so will try that but will also look around on my fs links to see if I can find similar :)

Yeah, I've been trying to browse all the FS sites in an effort to locate them. No luck so far. I had some old hard drives sitting around that I thought all the files might have been on but I had wiped them all already. Maybe someone is telling me I shouldn't be thinking about RTW flights.... LOL!

calclassic.com has cv580, and I think they've upgraded the fde's.

Well, wouldn't ya know it... I went and checked my archives and I have all the cv580 files from RTW-2005. I loved flying that plane. Round the World 2005 was a lot of fun. Oh the memories. :)

Let me get it all zip'd up and I'll post a link to them (I'll try and have it later this evening).

Keep in mind that it is a collection of files over a period of time as was delivered by various AirSource members to support RTW-2005 and is not an "aircraft" folder that you can simply put into FS9 or FSX. But everything is there that you can build an aircraft folder with all +/- 25 aircraft.

Stay tuned...

Hope you do. I had to withdraw for personal reasons at the time but the concept excites me once more.
