2020 AirSource Fund Flight

Postby AS 2 Tom Little » 03 Feb 2020 11:28

Greetings AirSource Union Members,

Every 2 to 3 years for the past (almost!) 20 years, AirSource conducts a "fund flight" to help raise funds to pay for our server host and domain.

Our server host plan is due in March 2020. I always opt for the 3-year plan as it's the best rate. The cost is $4.76/month of which is charged all at once in March and would bring us through March 2023. That's a total of US $171.36 for the server host, plus 19.95/year (domain is annual) for the domain registration.

 OPTIONAL Logbook Ribbon - those who are able to donate may also qualify for a special logbook ribbon, just choose any flight that arrives into KATL Atlanta International and include FUNDFLIGHT2020 in your PIREP comments. The fund flight is optional and ribbons will be distributed in April.

It's been a pleasure to be here for all of these years, and we hope to continue for MANY years to come!

Donations are not being accepted at this time, but THANK YOU to all who contributed in the 2020 Fund Flight to keep AirSource...Airborne! :D

Couldn't "Air Mail" that? LOL - Thank You Norm, and THANK YOU to all who are able to contribute. We have such a great member base who have been here throughout the years and those long term to-be members whom are joining today. Not everyone stays long term (however that's out goal!), but we welcome all who enjoy the relaxing and fun atmosphere we try to provide here. It's not always easy to do, but together we have been able to set it on autopilot and enjoy the scenery - 20 years! :D

Hi Jim,

We're up to the amount needed for the server now, so I'm thinking of wrapping up the fund drive by Friday this week. Additional funds received beyond the server fees will apply to the domain registration (also aiming for 3 year renewal). Then, If any funds are still left after this, those funds will remain for the next server renewal in 3 years!

A huge THANK YOU again to all who have been able to contribute!
