myAAS2 beta (Windows Defender Safe)

MyActive AirSource (MyAAS) is the program used by AirSource members to record their flight time. Requires Microsoft Flight Simulator and (free) version of FSUIPC. MyAAS 2 is programmed by AS 201 Joe Hamilton, and is always being reviwed for new features.

myAAS2 beta (Windows Defender Safe)

*** NOTE: the database for this version is not compatible with the previous version. Please run it from a different location or delete your old myaas2.db file ***

The fine folks at Microsoft have deemed the myAAS2 beta safe and Windows Defender will no longer block the file from downloading (make sure your virus definitions are up to date).

We went to an *actual* database instead of the homegrown solution currently in use. We want to get some testing in with it.

New in this version:
  • put an actual database solution into the code
  • ability to upload and view flight plans

To add a flightplan (FS9/FSX/P3D/X-Plane only at this time), select Upload Flight plan (located below Begin Flight in the menu). You can view your plan and track your progress via the flight details page accecible from the World map page.

Thanks Joe works Perfect me. Just 1 Question is the loaded flight plan visible anywhere, my last 3 flights was uploaded. But cannot see it anywhere, X-Plane 11 Files loaded.

Merry Christmas to you and thanks for this great little (present/feature).

Hi Andre-

From the World Map (Who's Online) click on an aircraft icon to go to the flight details page
You will end up here => http://air-source.us/Operations/ActiveAS/Flight.asp?AIRID=m311
Here's one that worked => http://air-source.us/Operations/ActiveAS/FLIGHT.asp?AIRID=m3 (need to zoom out)

On a side note, can you email me or put up the flight plan for the last flight you flew (KIAH-KSTL). It didn't parse correctly so, I need to figure it out.

Merry Christmas to you also,

Joe

Got that fixed, Andre. Unfortunately, that one needs a myAAS update. You need to re-download the beta version above.

Thanks for finding that. Was being caused by the plus sign in your intersection +30-9

Hi Joe, Using Beta

I have experienced this twice, when it comes to PIREP it shows all information that flight is PIREPED when I close the window it say there was an error and I should PIREP the flight by going to file (Like in the past) but the file is gone so I cannot PIREP the flight and have to refly it. On the flight map it shows my previous time when I am flying the route again but when I PIREP again its only the new flight time. :D Hi Joe It just happened again on my last flight, KDSM to KISN
Thank
Andre

Hey Andre,

Not sure what's going on. I haven't changed anything so, not sure what's causing it to act up all of sudden.
I do see some odd things in the database that I need to look at but, doesn't seem to have affected your pireps though.

Can you send me your myAAS2.db file so I can see what it looks like inside?

Also, you might want to go back to the old version for now. No sense having to fly some flights twice. I'll have a look at things tomorrow and see if I can figure out what's going on.

Sorry for the issues

New beta version uploaded.

Fixes include:
  • Fix for disappearing flight if upload failed
  • Possible fix for too many flight points being generated causing super long upload time
  • Fix for arrival airport name being assigned the airline name during PIREP (not noticeable)
For the disappearing flights: actually the flight data is/was still there. You might need to start with a fresh database or go to Options->Maintenance->Reset Database to clean those up.

New issue (ARGH!!!)

Do not save and resume a flight. It will not re-load. If you do, send me your database file and I will get it fixed for you.

Hopefully, I'll have a new version up by the end of the day with everything fixed

Sorry for all of the inconveniences.

Ok, I have fixed the backup flight not saving and double-checked the rest.

I think this version should be stable.

Hi,

I'm getting the following issue where my login data isn't being properly recognised (as and as not admin).

  • Delete installed MyAAS2 folder (including the contained database).
  • Download and extract the Beta version, then run.
  • New database file appears and I'm asked for my login details.
  • Insert my details and get the message box user verified.
  • Click OK, splash screen appears and loading bar appears.
  • Error message box appears saying the supplied details are invalid.
  • Click OK and MyAAS loads with no flights.

I've tried clicking refresh flights, reset database, edit pilot info, refresh server data all to which I get the same user data error. About shows version 2.0.3999

Hi Alexander,

Can you try adding an exception to your firewall for myaas2? Maybe it is blocking it (though not sure why it worked when initially setting it up).

If not, please email me your myaas2.db file (as an attachment) and I will have a look.
