Server Issues [UPDATED]

Postby AS 2 Tom Little » 06 Dec 2018 12:33

AirSource Team:

There has been a server problem and it appears all of the passwords have been reset in the database. I still need to work on this as the coding was never built for this scenario. Seems there was some kind of server issue over the past 12 hours. I'll need to work on this after work today so it may be a little while. The website uses cookies so it's best to NOT log out if you do not need to. Same goes for myAAS.

We should all be able to reset our passwords now. Just go to HUMAN RESOURCES then click the lost password / retrieve login information. The system will prompt you to enter your e-mail address and AirSource username.

Then an e-mail will be sent to you with e temporary password. Once yo get that, you can log in, then go to change to a permanent password by going to HUMAN RESOURCES link, then CHANGE MEMBER DATA link.

The server host made a bunch of updates/changes and didn't let me know - it corrupted many things, changed file permissions, and even our forums are screwed up. Might be a long night!

Hi Don,

Hmm, I wonder if your ISP is blocking the e-mail or perhaps it might be going into your "spam" folder? In any case I cannot access passwords as they are encrypted but let me think about how we could resolve this... maybe I can temporarily change your account email address to mine, then forward it to you.

Hi Tom. I'm having the same troubles as Don. I'm not receiving the email to update my password. I've checked junk folder and nothing, But my original works to log on to this forum. Alan

Tom ...
I had the same problem except I have been able to reset my password. My problem is that I was trying to PIREP a flight, & that's when I was aware of the issue. MYASS didn't recognize me of course & has eliminated the flight from it's flight list. The flight crew pass is still showing that I have booked the flight so I can't re-book it (from the worldexplorer series # spec010). Is there a way to re-instate the flight info into MYASS? I don't want to shut anything down & loose everything or redo the flight.

Obviously, No hurry, but I wanted to get this on your radar. I can't currently upload flights from a csv. When I do, I get the errors below.

Thanks...

Hi Hugh,

The flight should still be in myAAS. Is doesn't delete it until successful PIREP. Have you checked the File Menu -> File Flight Reports?

Thanks for the info Joe. I wasn't aware that this feature existed in MYASS. Have managed to file the flight with nothing lost. You learn something every day!
