7x7x7for10 Event - Awards released

Postby AS380 Mark Richards » 21 May 2010 12:21

Hi all

Unfortunately, there have been no entrants in the 7x7x7for 10 Event Special Design Award, so my partner has kindly developed the following awards for us:

BRONZE AWARD - 10-12 Flights - v$750

Image

SILVER AWARD - 13-16 Flights - v$1,500

Image

GOLD AWARD - 17-20 Flights - v$3,000

Image

PLATINUM - 21/22 flights - v$6,000 (v$6,500 for the bonus 22nd flight back to the start)

Image

The actual award on your logbook will be slightly smaller but thought you might like a good look at the design which shows the Victoria Falls, Pyramids of Giza, Empire State Building and of course the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Please let me know what you think.

Looks good, Mark. The only suggestion I would have is to add something referencing 10 years - "2000-2010," "10 Years," "10th Anniversary," etc. - maybe in a ring around the laurel wreath?

Hi Mark
Excellent designs.
Like Ian I would have liked to see a reference to the 10 years incorporated somewhere.
Best regards to you and especially to your partner.

Good stuff Mark, well done, they look fantastic.

Re: the 10 years - every pilot who is serving on 1 June will receive a logbook medallion that commemorates just that, 10 years - and btw, no entries for that competition received yet either :(

Hi Mark,
they look brilliant with wonders included. The author should receive an award for awards :)
Thanks very much

Looking good Mark . I would have had a crack myself but im too busy at the minute looking after McPhat while the guys are out of town plus the cricket season is underway so that takes up most of my time . Nice job though great stuff

Hi Mark,

Nice work on the awards. I would suggest to provide a distinction between the silver and the platinum awards, as both really looked similar. I agree with the guys to make a reference for the 10 years to be placed somewhere, as the event would emphasize more on the TEN years of AirSource.

Those look great Mark. You wouldn't have a large size BMP/JPG of the Platinum award, would you? It would look good on my "Rally Wall" next to other certificates (still haven't seen the certificate from this year's GAAR  ).

The trouble of course is that Silver and Platinum are actually quite close in colour!

And of course don't forget that you will have the details of the award added to the graphic that everyone can read as they hover over the award.

The largest I have are the ones above... The awards will be much smaller to fit your logbooks.
