Unable To Pirep Through My AAS

Postby Greg AS#147 » 17 Feb 2014 14:45

Wondering if anyone else is having a problem PIREPIng. When I go to PIREP my flight through My AAS the box comes up and says ERROR-PAGE NOT FOUND so I am unable to PIREP. Once you close the My AAS program it says "There was an error with the PIREP control". Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi Greg-

If it takes a bit before the page not found shows up, it could be due to slow server response. Keep trying a couple of more times and see if it goes through.

The "There was an error with the PIREP control" basically just says that the page didn't get loaded for some reason.

I've been trying for over half hour now and still the same thing. I've never had this problem before. I guess I will try later. I know the server is slow and it usually comes up, just something that started today I noticed.

Maybe, also, could try Options Menu->Maintenance->Refresh Server Settings and see if that helps.
Also, close and re-start myaas2.
Just throwing some thoughts out there.

Getting ready to do a flight right now but, will be a while before it's done.

Tried that and didn't work. I reset the data base and now I don't have the flight to PIREP, but it added it back to my flights to fly. Looks like I will be flying this flight again.

You misunderstood...it was "Refresh Server Settings" not "Reset Database"

I hope it wasn't a long one.

Reflying right now. I do notice it is recording no problem and on the website. See what happens at the end when time to PIREP.

Now also looking at the Air Source flights page, it appears that no one has an AAS CERTIFIED through their completed flights. Yet it is there for the GA Flights. Something definitely going on here.

Something definitely going on with the pirep page. Your flight has been uploaded (AAL1629 KDFW-KSAT) along with 5 other peoples (including your last KDWF-KSAT flight). I'll email Tom so he can have a look.

Here is a series of pictures of what I get. Maybe you have an idea now of what might be wrong. Like I said, never had this problem before. Actually worked fine last night for my flight.

Yeah, no need to fly it again :) Looking at the database, just seems to be a problem from the last few hours (there are flights from earlier today that went through). I have emailed Tom, hopefully he has a resolution shortly.

If you are in a flying mood, just remember you can have multiple flights flown then just PIREP them when all is working again

LOL...I only need credit for one. I'm not greedy. I'm just not doing it again....LOL. Hopefully all will be fixed soon so I can PIREP that flight and carry on with the next one.
