The "personal" version of Active AirSource

unhandled exception

Postby eddavis » 25 Nov 2011 21:11

Hello!
I'm new to AirSource, I've tried several times to track my flight using the tracking system but I keep getting this error message... I've hung out on TeamSpeak looking for somebody who would be able to help, but its quiet in there. Here is the text that comes w/ the error message.

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hello,

Is MyAAS installed within program files folder? Apparently that is casuing some problems on newer systems.

Also do you have Windows 7? This topic may help too: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4447

The error report you posted is definitely showing that the mysql.data.dll file is missing. When you right click on the myAAS icon on your desktop, is the shortcut pointing to your myaas install directory? Is it possible you have myAAS installed in two different areas of your computer?

I'm from the "Ol' School" and I'm sure others on here
are too. I still run FS9 on XP. And when I got the new
version of "MyAAS" I put a short cut out of that program
onto my desk top. Well, needless to say I got the "alpha
bit soup" error message too. For some reason my system
wouldn't recognize the short cut to activate "MyAAS" if it
was outside of the program i.e...on my desktop. I went
all over the forum threads and just couldn't figure it out.
The error message was that "JIT debug" garble too.
So I deleted the short cut off of my desk top and only
accessed it within the "My Active Air Source" program
folder and ta da!!!, it then worked fine. Like Tom said,
somehow it doesn't recognize the path if it is outside of
the program folder....Hope this helps any FS9er's or FXer's
and "Ol' School" poops like me. It looks like that error
message is the same in FS9 and FX.

:) Hey you two.... thanks for the feed back.. I do run XP w/ FS9 too. I've looked into the path.. and noticed that it didn't have a path. So I made a folder for it in my program file.. It will track, and at the finish of the flight it did let me send the pirep. However I had to fly w/ the error message pulled down to the bottom of my screen. I'll try putting the desktop icon back in the folder and see if that doesn't help. I do appreciate the help... what days are you guys usually on TeamSpeak? I'll try to make sure i'm there :D

Hey Ed,

I'm on here a lot. (kind of a retired home guy) Since I have been here,
I have never seen anybody on TeamSpeak. But that could change if
ya want to give it a go. I got TS2 and TS3 so let me know when you
would like to try and we could do a flight together. Anytime is good
for me.
