Error when filing PIREP using MyAAS

Postby Edu1115 » 28 Jul 2011 21:05

This is the second time this happens. After I enter the flight remarks and hit the file PIREP button, the following error message appears:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'
Field 'flts.NAME' cannot be a zero-length string.
/operations/activeas/PostFlight_SCH02.asp, line 628

Nothing happens after that, and if I hit the close button a message appears saying that the PIREP was successfully filed, although I am sure it was not because the flight does not appear on my logbook.

What can I do to correct this error? I am using Windows Vista (in case that helps).

Please let me know your pilot #, also the flight departure and arrival airports (the ICAO codes)

My pilot number is AS 460. The error occured on the flight from LEMD to LIRF and on the flight from LIRF to EGLL. Thank you for your help!

Does it show in your (myAAS) list so you can PIREP again?

Also the next time you are ready to PIREP, instead of doing that, send me a copy of your AASFLIGHTS.AAS file (located in your myAAS install directory).

I will evaluate to see if I can figure out what is happening.

In addition, when you fly in the simulator, do you have the "on line" box checked, do you see yourself on-line on our front page while flying?

The flight does not appear on my AAS list, a message appears after I close the error that says that the flight has been submitted successfully, but it does not appear on my logbook. I do have the online box checked, next time I fly I'll check the website. Here is a screenshot of the error (in case it helps):

Thanks for all your help! Where should I send the AASFLIGHTS.AAS file?

To all, I have entered some error catching computations into the myAAS PIREP pages. Please try to PIREP again and let me know the error message you may get.
