Your best freeware scenery candidates

Postby rich1963 » 05 Mar 2007 03:01

I was just reading this thread on AVsim last night and I really enjoyed it. I found alot of good stuff. I was wondering if anyone here has any input on the subject.

Me being a payware Addict (100+ Airports to date) I had no Idea that the quality of some of the freeware out there was so good.

Usually part of my flight planning is visiting the mega scenery list:

I think there actually is a finite amount of entries you can have in your scenery cfg file. But I can't remember what it is (like 250+)... I don't know if its necessarily a finite amount but it causes problems if you go over this "magical" amount.

That would be the Scenery number in the CFG> right? I'm only at like 130 I thing. So I should be fine for sometime.

What are these Addon managers all about? Are these a tool to add/remove addon's as you need them? Or just a database of what you have installed?
