FS Earth

Postby Ken Bolish » 09 Feb 2007 23:04

I enjoy a good moving map while I'm flying. Since FS Nav is not out for FSX yet, has anyone tried FS Earth for google earth? Is it all free? Does it take a lot of computer memory and possibly slow the Flight sim down?
Thanks and happy flying

Hi,

It is not free.

Google Earth is a pretty resourse heavy program all by itself. When run on the same computer as FS, GE does slow down FS.

Then when you add FS Earth into the mix, things really slow down.

So what I use is a freeware package called My Google Earth and I run GE on a networked laptop. Then there is no hit on my FS machine. A search will give you the link or I can search for it!

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the quick response. I am not really interested in more than one computer so I will wait for FSNav to come out in 4 months or so.
Thanks for the info, you saved me from a few headaches.
I will save the headaches for the beer consumption during the flight.
