The last post was from Feb 09. Anybody else bought this program and any thoughts? I have so far read nothing but good things. Just a last dig before I Buy.

Its good but you get problems with PMDGs MD11 . Its not easy to fly the aircraft to the ATC it instructs meaning you need more hands , other than that it works pretty good its ten times better than the default ATC .

Hi,

Radar Contact 4.3 is very realistic. For example: today I was between NY Kennedy and Paris CDG and, due to a traffic conjection at LFPG, the ATC sent me to ROU (116.80) Rouen VOR to fly a holding pattern.

This add-on is really usefull.

Best regards.

For anyone else who may be contemplating the purchase of this fine software, there is a comprehensive review on Avsim about it located at the link below.

I myself will not fly the virtual skies without it unless I am partaking in a fly-in event online where there is an abundance of ATC coverage. Otherwise, it's RCv4 with ItsYourPlane addon for voice interaction.

Version 5 promises to be even better.

they are making RC5, I like this addon, while realistic it needs some new features and I wish they would make it possible to add your own callsigns but they won't they say its complicated and requires voice recordings from volunteers.

I believe that page 49 of the user manual explains the process of adding callsigns, etc. It is very involved. I have added a few new missing callsigns to my database over the past couple of years.
Version 5 has been in the making for quite some time now and I can only imagine the features it will incorporate. I eagerly await its release and will probably purchase version 5 within minutes of its release. :-)

Cheers.

And then that is how we end up with a long line of people trying to buy it too ;)

Dumb question but does RC4 work with FSX? I know RC5 will
