Wilco/FeelThere E-jet Wx Radar Problem

Postby AS380 Mark Richards » 22 Jun 2009 01:38

Team

I'm puzzled, I can't for the life of me remove the weather radar test pattern from the ND.

I have set it up to work via the configurator as per:

I've tried it with and without the rotating beam option and no change.

As you can see, this is what I get for the whole trip... It just doesn't get off the test pattern.

I really would like to have the radar working and looking for suggestions. Tired almost everything I can think of to get it working.

This is in FSX

Hi Mark, try setting your weather radar to WX and check the TURB box. That's what I do and the test screen goes off after 30 seconds to a minute.

I should have said, that is what I do... My preflight includes checking the TURB box, setting WX to display from the MAP options and then setting the radar to STBY... As I line up, I change from STBY to WX and that is what I get. It worked ok on my old machine just not on my fancy new one.

Very weird Mark, the only reason I mentioned it, is because it is not showing that TURB is active on that screen shot. How bout your FSUIPC, is it in? New? Registered? Mind you, mine isn't registered, and it works fine. Mine is 3.90 I believe.

Yes I have tried it with and without the turbulence mode on, no difference.

And I have FSUIPC v4.52 (the latest) for FSX and registered, installed. I could not survive without FSUIPC.

I have posted on the Wilco/FeelThere forums but they're inheritently lacking in support service from my experience. Hopefully, I will be proven wrong.

Oh my mistake, I am using FS9, not FSX.

Thanks anyway Rick. Appears it MIGHT be because I am using a 64b OS and Wilco don't support 64b :(

Interestingly, I installed FS9 on my machine today and put FSUIPC 3.90 (Registered) in before I installed anything else and low and behold, the WX Radar is working in the FS9 E-Jet. I'm thinking I will uninstall the FSX E-Jet completely and then reinstall and see what effect that has.
