myaasv2 and p3d 2.5 issues

MyActive AirSource (MyAAS) is the program used by AirSource members to record their flight time. Requires Microsoft Flight Simulator and (free) version of FSUIPC. MyAAS 2 is programmed by AS 201 Joe Hamilton, and is always being reviwed for new features.

Hi Craig-
Have you tried right clicking on myaas2 and
'Run as Administrator'?

Not p3d user myself, can you make sure fsuipc shows up in the menu bar inside of p3d (if there is one)

Hi Joe

Yep it shows in p3d as it does in fsx and both p3d and myaas are running in admin mode.

Please try this version -> http://air-source.us/operations/myaas2/myaas2_test.zip and see if that works.

Joe,

After some playing around it works , One thing i have found is that if you want it to work in p3d v 2.5 is as the following findings

with your new test exe you MUST have a registered copy of FSUIPC to make it detect the simulator
you MUST run p3d with admin rights and the same with myaas.

reason for the capitals on the must it has to be done to make it run correctly.

Big thank you to Joe for this quick update and help keep up the good work buddy if i find anything else i will post here for you

Biggest thanks and regards
Craig

Odd needing a registered version of FSUIPC. I'll look some more.

At least it's working now. Probably helps that I updated with the new FSUIPC code (that recognizes P3D). My bad on that.

Have to wonder, though, if anybody else uses P3D here?

Great job Joe, and yes I have to wonder just how many here use P3d? I would say run a poll, but those are usually not very successful.

Joe, there are also new offsets for FSX:SE (Steam Edition) which is another potential market for us to gain members from.

Hi Mark,

Did they change the ones that myAAS2 currently uses or just added new ones?

I guess what I'm trying to figure out it's does myAAS2 work with it or, if it doesn't, what parts aren't?

Not sure to be honest as I'm not a Steam user. Not sure if anyone else can help.

Joe I picked up FSX-SE when it first came out on sale (to have as a "backup") - and even though it's bare bones I just need to install FSUIPC and test. I'll let you know hopefully later this weekend.

Happy to report that all seems okay! Using FSE-SE and latest FSUIPC version as of this post v4.939n.

Note that link above shows I am way off course, which is correct - just testing in the Friday Harbour area!
