[Solved] Stuck and need guidance

MyActive AirSource (MyAAS) is the program used by AirSource members to record their flight time. Requires Microsoft Flight Simulator and (free) version of FSUIPC. MyAAS 2 is programmed by AS 201 Joe Hamilton, and is always being reviwed for new features.

[Solved] Stuck and need guidance

Postby Jannier » 26 Nov 2014 07:32

Hi,

I signed up yesterday.
I downloaded the myaas2.zip.
Extracted and it is v 2.0.2006.0
I run it and when I enter my username/password it says it is invalid
---------------------------
myAAS v2
---------------------------
The supplied username/password are invalid.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I tried to download the manual.pdf that is linked below the download link for myaas2.zip how to operate myaas2, but the link is dead.
"The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."

So I am stuck.
Where can I get the operating manual?
What username/password should I be using?

I have also requested the system re-send my username/password.
They are the same as what I signed up with.
I even copy and paste the info into myaas2 but I still get the invalid message.

Thanks in advance for your help.

OK problem resolved.

There was a special character in my password and the system did not approve of this.
Strangely there was no mention during the sign up process that the special character is not allowed or would be causing issues.
Thanks

Welcome to Air-Source, Jannie

By special characters, are you referring to the ones like (%, @, *) or the ones you need to hold down the ALT key and use the number pad to do?

As for the manual, I need to edit that post that get's linked to. The manual was for the initial version of myAAS2, which wasn't as straight forward as it is now. Also, there is quite a bit more guidance, when needed, from the program than there used to be.

I think creating a FAQ posting would be of better use than a manual. I'll look at setting one up.

Thanks Joe,

the ones when using "SHIFT+ " !@#$%^&*

Yeah I noticed that ones I got MYAAS2 running, everything was straight forward.
I was just stuck and thrown of by that Special Character issue, and was looking for a manual to read if I am making some sort of a mistake in usage of the application. :)
All is well now.
Yeah FAQ I also find works well.
Thanks
