myAAS2 error message

Postby HoratioWondersocks » 14 Oct 2014 18:11

Hello All
Have downloaded the latest version.
It works, but! I get this error message constantly.......
'There was an error sending the request to the server.
Please retry.'
I use offline mode so not sure why the error message.
If I leave the error message box open myass still works.
But close it ,and it just reopens a few seconds later.

Anyways cheers
Andy

Andy,

Please make sure you are actually running the new version and not an older version. Get rid of all the old stuff just to be sure.

Andy - it may have something to do with the new server. Joe will be able to tell for sure, but this may be something that will persist until we get through the conversion.

Hi Andy-

No, it was probably my neglect to check the offline mode operation. I'll get it fixed up in the morning.

Andy,

I guess I could have just had you turn off online mode :)

Anyway, I found a few more issues with offline mode and got them fixed too. As you are the only one having the problem, I just uploaded a new file. Please re-download.

Hello Joe
I was using offline mode only, that's why I was surprised to see the error message.
Anyway! No problem these things happen
I will try the new download and let you know what occurs.

Cheers Andy

Hello again folks.
Can report that the new flogger worked correctly this time so thanks Joe for taking the time to sort me out.

There was just one thing.....please bare in mind a mind somewhat befuddled with lager and tiredness at the time
At the end of the pireping process there appeared to be two dialogue windows ,one covering the other I couldn't not ascertain what the the window being covered was asking .All I could see was an OK option, I clicked this and all seemed to work OK.
Sorry if this is a bit vague I will be flying again tonight and will try to see if I can more accurately report what occurs during pireping.
Basically though all seems to be go again so thanks again.

Cheers Andy

Glad I got it all fixed for you, Andy. Thanks.

I know, initially, there was a problem with double message boxes at the end of the PIREP process. Thought that was all fixed fixed though. If it happens again, hopefully you can move one out of the way to see the other.

Hi Crew:

OK a little problem, due to my ISP doggie connection I keep getting that darn Error window when ever myaa2 has a ping time out. That is so annoying while flying, and at the end of the flight when I reduce all the flight windows, now I have to close all 100 or so error windows, That's so very very annoying. We don't need the script that makes the error "The connection to the server timed out. please retry." Can you remove that script so that this will not happen, I remember one of the older myAAS had that very same problem and tom fixed it.
Other than that everything else is working just fine. :) Oh yeh, I know if we uncheck that online box that this will not happen, but we want to be online. That's the only way to fly.

Edit: I just re read the above posts, and download the fix. will report back in a few days upon a new flight. I am in the air as I am posting this.

Hi Greg,
Actually that fix was for a different problem.

I have uploaded a new version which *should* get rid of the error messages when timing out while flying. Not sure how I let that get in there. Download from the same link.
