No visibility on morld map

MyActive AirSource (MyAAS) is the program used by AirSource members to record their flight time. Requires Microsoft Flight Simulator and (free) version of FSUIPC. MyAAS 2 is programmed by AS 201 Joe Hamilton, and is always being reviwed for new features.

No visibility on morld map

Postby paul01942 » 19 Mar 2013 11:17

I'm currently flying a multi leg bid flight, i have AAS operating and it is recording times, speeds everything like it should do, yet for some reason it's not showing on the airsource website? i'm connected to the internet as i'm using real time weather which is working fine.

Any idea's ive looked at settings and online is ticked, it does advise everytime i turn on AAS that there is an update when i request it to update the program simply comes on it asks me to update everytime, up until these flights the visibility has been excellent.

Paul,

I had a quick look at the database and noticed that your pilot number had two entries. I removed 1 of them. This may have been causing an issues. Try again when you can and report back.

Paul)

did this just start happening recently? I thought I've seen you on the map before

As for the update thing, sounds like you are using an old version. best bet would be, finish any flights you have in progress and PIREP them. then delete both myaas2.exe and myaas2.db. download the newest version from the top of this forum, and start fresh. Who knows, might even solve your on:line problem too.

Joe, I noticed the entry for timestamp for Paul was 0, so I removed the record. Wonder why it is sending a 0 to the DB?

Not sure. 0 is sent for the time stamp when under accelerated time, slew or when paused, to remove the pilot from the map, and when the flight is cancelled. Other than that it is sent a value.

The time stamp on his flight reports look OK, so it's not a problem of getting it.

Let's wait and see how things go when he updates. I know there was a version that the online mode didn't work (although I still think I've seen him on the map before). Also, he's one of the ones that don't get any flight points recorded. So hopefully, when he updates, all will be working.

We're you using both at the same time? MyAAS and MyAAS V2?

Also, on the bid flight can you give me the exact ID of that bid? Like the one that shows on the bid flight booking/booked page.

Hi Tom,

I just simply opened the AAS icon i have the same one as I'm using for my bid flight and hey presto there it is my scheduled flight showing on the map?

The bid flight i'm doing is Route ID: 180113-208DEL-001 it is recording time but not showing me on the AAS map also i dont think my time flying on AAS is being logged either?

Always be sure your on line status is checked in the menu. I looked at mine and it always defaults to off (un-checked). Tested using same bid flight and all seems ok?

Hey Paul-

Just out of curiosity, what version of myaas2 are you using(Help->About)?

Maybe I don't understand how it works but, I can't find 180113-208DEL-001.

Joe that is the ID used in the bid division database. It is not passed to any of the data we work with in myAAS. However I was trying to see if either the airports or airline/aircraft had bad data that mySQL was rejecting. (all looked fine though)
