New Build 06-17

MyActive AirSource (MyAAS) is the program used by AirSource members to record their flight time. Requires Microsoft Flight Simulator and (free) version of FSUIPC. MyAAS 2 is programmed by AS 201 Joe Hamilton, and is always being reviwed for new features.

New Build 06-17

*NOTE - for what should be the last time...You will need to delete the database before running this version

Just posted the latest build. The program is now a full version. Hopefully the problems have been taken care of.

New for this build:
- auto-update has been enabled
- refresh flights now checks against database so "Pirep flights" no longer shows flights after finalizing flight reports
- pilot removed from live-feed when not under flying conditions (i.e. pause, slew, cancel flight, etc.). Left on the map for normal flight end condition (filing a report) because there will always be that one person who wants to look at the map data when finished (me too...sometimes)
- flights with multiple legs were not filing the flight points is now fixed

hopefully all works good.

Joe

Joe

I've completed quite a few flights now with this version on the machine I was having issues with, even without deleting the DB file when I installed and it's working perfectly.

The next big tests will come when I fly some longer flights for Operation HERMES.

EXCELLENT JOB my friend.

Hi Joe and all.

My apologies for not getting my teeth into this thus far, i've had quite a lot on my plate - i usually dive into beta testing! I'll need to go back to the beginning of all the threads on this thus far to put my head into the right place :? before I start using it for real.

@Mark - yeah, the deleting of the database was just a precaution. Glad to hear it's working for you still. Waiting for a longer flight from you again. Hopefully it doesn't crash any more with them for you.

@Norm - not a problem. Tom and myself seem to be in the same boat (time-wise).

Anyway, going to make a small update in the next couple of days (hopefully) to test the auto-update. If all goes well with that and no more problems crop up, might be time to add a few more people to the testing.

Well I'm currently flying across the Atlantic on my first Operation HERMES flight and set MyAASv1 up on the laptop and promptly forgot to start it so hoping this flight doesn't fail but if it does, I'll just do it again!

Don't suppose one of those goodies could be adding that aircraft flown (the one that gets displayed on the AAS Map taken from the aircraft.cfg file in the PIREP?? Just a thought.

Yep, flight points have been uploaded for every flight except for that one.

Mark - the main problem with doing this is the inconsistency. However perhaps I can program this as a future enhancement that at least puts the aircraft flown (via flight simulator) in the remarks.

That's exactly what I meant, sorry if my explanation wasn't clear.
