New Build 06-10

MyActive AirSource (MyAAS) is the program used by AirSource members to record their flight time. Requires Microsoft Flight Simulator and (free) version of FSUIPC. MyAAS 2 is programmed by AS 201 Joe Hamilton, and is always being reviwed for new features.

New Build 06-10

Postby AS201 Joe » 11 Jun 2012 00:32

Ok, posted a new build. Some little changes, plus...

- added some code to hopefully fix Mark's crash (or at least give an error) Please let me know if you get an error and what the code is.
- taxi time remaining on the resume flight dialog was always showing 50 minutes. Fixed
- auto-update now working (disabled for now though)
- added a dialog box for resuming a flight that reminds user to use Menu->Resume Flight
- flight points now saved and uploaded to the database.

Hopefully all is working correctly now.

Forgot to mention...don't run this version if you have flight c data saved. There will be compatibility problems. Best bet it's to finish any flights you have going and submit them. Then delete the database and start clean.

OK... tests conducted today

  1. Fresh clean install of Build 06-10 into the c:\MyAAS directory
  2. Flew one flight BNE-SYD - No Flight Points shown but flight filed no issues
  3. Uploaded flight
  4. Filed flight no issues
  5. Restarted Computer ready for next flights
  6. Set flight up and started MyAAS
  7. Selected the flight and flew it
  8. Saved flight but didn't file
  9. Closed MyAASv2
  10. Set next flight up (left FSX on just refuelled and set up ZFW)
  11. Flew next flight
  12. Ended flight and there was TWO to upload (which is what I expected), still said there was one to PIREP
  13. Uploaded flights and noticed second flight had no time associated with it
  14. PIREP'd first flight and that worked fine
  15. PIREP'd second flight and no time given
  16. Refreshed MyAAS and correct plan book showing (one only GA flight not yet flown)
  17. Noted that MyAAS says Pirep Flights (2)(will open web browser)

So two from three is better than none. NO ERRORS GIVEN.

MyAASzerohours.png

You can see that it shows 1.5 hours but not when I PIREP'd it.

I'm convinced it has something to do with the database thinking there are flights to file.

Hope this helps.

Mark

Ahhh, the things that happen when you re-use a counter variable inside a loop that's using it

If you re-download the 06-10 version, multiple flights now work. Was going to backup the bad data and have you re-try it so you can get the flight in, but you have already finalized the flight report. Maybe, if you still have it in the database, we can work with Tom and get it submitted correctly.

As for the flight points. the dialog is not shown anymore as they are now being written to the database. The message box was just to see how many were being generated. I just need to take a crash course in ASP/VBScript so we can make use of them.

And the menu option for pirep flights not clearing. Yeah, I'm going to have to find a better way to handle it. I need to check the db and see if the flight has been finalized (each time refresh flights is used). Right now, it should disappear after 2 refreshes. I'll work on that tomorrow.

Thanks for finding the problems.

No problems, I'm just flying another sector now, just a short one, so will see what happens...

And no biggie about getting Tom to update the times, it was only 1.5 hours... Not like I need them ;-)

Will let you know how I go after this flight.

Yeah, I could have sworn that I had that working, but I guess I never really looked at the data that was being written.
