New Version...

MyActive AirSource (MyAAS) is the program used by AirSource members to record their flight time. Requires Microsoft Flight Simulator and (free) version of FSUIPC. MyAAS 2 is programmed by AS 201 Joe Hamilton, and is always being reviwed for new features.

New Version...

Check back tomorrow for a different version that will hold on to the flights until no longer downloaded from the server.

Ok all,
Here's hoping I didn't forget to point things in the right direction. Here's a new version of myAAS2 for you to play with. It is fully functional except for auto-update (still working with Tom on that).

First of all, you need to run this little utility ->
This will update your database so it will work with the new version. Just run it from wherever myaas2.db is located. Unfortunately, the back-up flight will be lost (so if you have a flight saved in progress...sorry). Your saved flight reports will be preserved and updated so you still can still file them.

Then ->
Here's the new version, onfirst run, you need to go to Options->Maintenance->Edit Pilot Info and just click ok. This will get your pilot number into the database. Now you are ready to go.

You might as well delete the pirep viewer and db updater as we're done with them.

Have fun and please post any problems or suggestions you have.

Joe

Joe

All installed and followed the instructions. Got the "do you want to update the database message" and then the "database updated" messages.

When you say the back up flight will be lost, is this only for flights "in progress", is this for current flights, saved flights or flights where you have stopped part way and then going to restart at another time?

The reason I ask is that I clicked on File | Upload Flights (1) and got the "success" message yet when I check my logbook there is nothing and when I refresh MyAAS2 the two flights I uploaded (from two different instances of MyAAS2 on two different computers) are shown as available to fly.

Hey Mark,

The database shows 2 flights NZHN-NZRO and EGPF-EGPH so it did upload them (of course you said you only had 1). Not sure why not showing in the logbook. I think Tom has something you need to do on the website.

Should have only posted flights that have been marked as completed. Re-fuel stops should have stayed on the computer. Flights save in progress( in flight) would have been deleted with the update.

The reason the flights are back is they are no longer part of the myaas database so when you re-downloaded the flights, myaas thinks they are new flights.

Maybe Tom can give some insight as to why they are still available.

Thanks Joe... I did upload two, one each from the two different instances of MyAAS2.

I'm doing another flight now and I show as online which is EXCELLENT, but am showing online twice!

Problem there is that you have two entries in the database. I don't have delete permissions to get rid of one of them so Tom is going to have to do it (not sure what he does different to only show one of them). There are a few others that have multiple entries also.

Ahhh yes. Gotta love it when it all comes together :)

And a flight fully created with this version looks like it too uploaded fine but again doesn't appear in the logbook and still shows as available in MyAAS2 when refreshing flights.

Think this will be a Tom thing.

And Joe, instead of deleting this thread, just lock it, always good to have a record of these things.

That's the one indeed! At least we know for sure that MyAAS2 is working fine, it's just a database issue at the server end that the hiccup seems to stay.
