Team

A number are off to a flying start, with a couple already having knocked off SEVEN of their legs, excellent work guys! :D

All the awards will be issued together in June once the event is complete. We're tracking the progress in a Google Doc so all the CDOs can see how everyone is going and this way I shouldn't miss anyone's awards.

Some REALLY interesting Flightplanning coming together to get to see some of the wonders so it's superb to see the work you're all doing. At the moment, the distances range from a measly 22,000nm to over 67,000nm so some hard work ahead for some of us.

I personally have found the flights really motivating as they are having me fly the sim to places I wouldn't normally have thought about flying to and I was buzzing yesterday doing my first few legs.

Keep up the good work guys and look forward to more crew signing up! Some excellent potential to earn some v$ and another award in your logbook.

Mark

You guessed who was the 67,000nm man! It sure is, for us to do as much, or as little as we can depending on commitments.

Hi Lawrence, this is an individual event, ie you do your own flight planning and then fly the flights, so its like the many other Bid Division events.

Lawrence

You might have answered your own question in that this event is not only about flying the legs, visiting a number of the wonders of the world, but it is also about researching where the Wonders of the World are, finding nearby airports and then planning your trip.

I made it this way because flight planning is something that pilots do every day of their lives and I wanted to make this event something a little different to the normal "this is where you fly, this is what you fly" type of event. It even gives you the chance to fly aircraft YOU choose, instead of us choosing them for you. It was all about making things more interesting! :D

We'd still love you to participate as those of us that are flying this event are really having a ball. I know I for I am flying to places I would never have considered flying to (let alone even knowing that they existed!) before today. Last night I landed at the base (well if you can call 4,000' above sea level the base) of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa.

As a result of the effort that the pilots are putting in, there are some serious virtual AirSource dollars to be made!

Once you have your flights sorted, Norm will enter them ESPECIALLY for you! We hope to see you flying them soon!

AS484 Jose Carlos Kokol loaded and flew my bids for Legs 18, 19 and 20. Can you please reload them so I can finish the event.

I've let Jeff know so that he can add bids for you and will be following up with Jose.

Looks like a really good event, Mark. Pity I didn't have FSX configured properly in time to participate. There's no way I'd get 22 flights across the globe done in 2 weeks ;)

I'll look forward to the next one. You're doing a great job, by the way.
