BFD | CONTRACT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

POSITION: Bid Division Contract Development Officer (CDO)

REPORTS TO: Vice-President Bid Division

REQUIREMENTS: Have completed at least twelve (12) months as a member of good standing in the AirSource Virtual Pilots Union and hold the rank of Prop Captain (130 hours), the majority of which should be verifiable flights using AAS or MyAAS.

DUTIES: CDOs are expected to undertake the following duties:

  1. Become proficient in how to create Bid flights and add them to the Bid Flight Division
  2. Ensure than any bid flight entered enhances values to pilots of AirSource and does not conflict with the primary objectives of any other division of AirSource. The exception to this is for the addition of bid flights where an airline has commenced flying a new route and the route is yet to be updated for that airline in the Scheduled Division.
  3. If assigned a particular bid category to oversee, ensure that bid flights are added regularly for that category to ensure a variety of flights are available for AirSource pilots.
  4. If not assigned a particular bid category to oversee, liaise with the CDO responsible to ensure no bid double ups are entered
  5. Enter Bid Flights at least once per month. If no bid flights are added for three consecutive months, the CDO's appointment will be terminated, unless a Leave of Absence has been granted by the Vice President Bid Division
  6. Encourage and promote new initiatives within the Division that lead to increased efficiency.
  7. Visit the AirSource forums at least once per week and provide support and encouragement to all AirSource members to fly bids entered or to answer questions from members.
  8. Visit the AirSource forums at least once per week and answer bid requests from members in the Bid Request Forums
  9. Visit the AirSource forums at least once per week and involve themself in discussions in the Bid Division CDO Staff forum.
  10. Any other duties as directed by the AirSource EMT or Vice-President Bid Division as required.
