New Microsoft Flight Simulator - How to PIREP Flight?

Postby AS 2 Tom Little » 19 Aug 2020 00:25

Here is how to file a flight you performed in the new Microsoft Flight Simulator:

 Flights are booked as usual within the General Aviation, Scheduled, and Special Crew Pass areas.

 To PIREP/File your flight after performing it, just head to the PILOT OPERATIONS area, then go to the FLIGHTS area, then choose MANUAL PIREP (MSFS) link. http://air-source.us/Operations/OpsMain.asp

That's all there is to it!

Hopefully soon we can test to see if the new BETA FSUIPC will work with myAAS.

More to come.

UPDATE: There is a version of FSUIPC available (BETA) that does indeed work with the new Microsoft Flight Simulator and myAAS / AirSource, however there are major stutter/framerate issues. This is not due to the myAAS software, but rather other technical issues due to Simconnect and within the FSUIPC program.

The framerate/stutter issues caused by the SimConnect bug has been resolved in a past patch (Back in October I think). The last couple of times I've tried MyAAS with MS2020 were fairly decent. I can't say perfect because I'm still looking for that "sweet spot" between FPS and Visual Quality. I DO have a pretty hefty PC (10th Gen i9, 128GB Mem, Dual NVIDIA RTX2080 and of course all the Saitek/Logi hardware on 3x43" TCL LED Screens). Yeah MS2020 is that much of a beast even those specs have a lot to chew on.
