AAS Impossible to install (VISTA)

Postby deadraque » 06 Aug 2009 22:58

Hi, each time I start setup in normal or compatible mode or even administrator on Vista I get this error

An unexpected setup error has occurred C:windows\st6unst.002' Error writing to logfile. If I continue it makes an install error and auto removes everything that he has put in temp.

The number 002 goes up each time I try again now I am already at 018. Virus scan with Kaspersky 2009 is Clean and registry Mechanic cleaned my regfiles, so I am desperate. This worked fine on XP, but No I am not going back to XP.

Hope someone can help

Hi,

Sign in as administrator and then right mouse click on the installer icon and Run.....As Administrator.

Make sure UAC is off in Vista also.

Also disable AV software.

Thanks,

It seems like it was my Antivirus that blocked the writing to the logfile, so thanks very much as I was able to finally install it. But have the Language/Country problem now, so gone check the forum if there is a solution to this before I change my computer setting to UK english.

Yes had to change it, after that I had the problem of unable to connect to host error 35 something. Anyway with Retry I got true and finally it worked, did 3 flights already and all seems well :)
