"Refueling stop" issue; myAAS2

Postby dickcory1 » 05 Jul 2013 21:58

So, I did a quick search on the forums and also check out the manual, could not find a solution:

I saved a bid flight from KLAX-EDDP, and saved it "as refueling stop" as indicated by the other strings I read and the myAAS2 ability to somehow string them together.

The flight is not marked with an "R".

I then went ahead and grabbed another bid from that location (EDDP to VHHH), started flight, ended (making sire to end the flight completely)... and it indicated only 1 flight report to pirep. The other flight still had the "R.
Putting all faith into what I read, I filed the pirep for the most recently finished leg, and just assumed it would grab the other one. Well, it did not. and, it sits there... with the "R" next to it, giving me no option to file but only the option to "start flight"... even though I spent 10 hours on it! It is as if the flight never happened... any suggestions?

only joined 3 days ago and completely new to the myAAS2 stuff.
[and for the love of pete, the signature thing is still not able to work for me, apparently...]

Hi,

1. Where did you land to make that first re-fueling stop?

2. Do you mean a sig. banner like I have?

i think i had the flight plan wrong....

1.
Flight was KLAX to EDDP.... when the flight ended, i pressed "refueling stop".

Bid on a fligh from EDDP to VHHH.... when i completed that one, i finished flight completely, but the prior (KLAX to EDDP still remains and with "R").
2. and yes, Signature banner.... have tried literlally EVERY step i have read in these forums (using IE, UCP area, pressing "create" in my logbook, etc...)

Refueling stop is for flights using aircraft that can't go the distance, and need to stop for fuel. Once at the destination airport, you need to do flight complete. The different legs (up to the destination airport) are meshed together to give one report from all of them. It doesn't work that way over multiple booked flights.
Did I get that right?

As for the KLAX-EDDP flight. You say in the last post that the R is there. I'm guessing you are at EDDP?
To clear the R, setup FS at EDDP and resume that flight. Once running...hit slew (Y) and go up a little bit. Unslew to go into normal flight for about a second then hit slew again. Lower the plane back down to the ground and unslew again. you should be able to save the report and select End Flight.

That did the trick, sir! thank you much for your help and I'll be sure to keep that in mind for future legs.
And if you happen to know some magic step for the signature, feel free to pass it my way. 8)

Great, glad I could help.

As for the sig...double-check that both email addresses are *exactly* the same in the profile areas (re-type them both and submit) then try the create banner link again. I think that's what worked for me.

I'm not sure what browser you are using, but I logged in as you and created the sig image via the logbook using IE 9. Some other browsers have been known to cause problems for some reason. But you're all set now :)

FYI, you can use that sig at other forums you visit as well. Yes, the data will change also!
