It's really neat when I log on to see that the flight system is working as intended and members are enjoying the flying as they should. Take for example a set of flights by Don Smith (AS 455), who was gifted a GA Division Cessna 172R [N-9310H] by AirSource some time ago. This gift was due to Don's dedication to not only this particular aircraft but to AirSource as well. You see, Don has over 3,100 myAAS certified hours in this aircraft alone!

I was recently browsing some GA flights when I noticed that Don has been flying this aircraft around Southern Africa. In the GA division there are restrictions just as the real world where we cannot just land at an airport such as Dallas, Texas and then start the next flight in England. The system requires Pilots to take off from the last airport they landed at. Don flew his Cessna 172 from Dallas Texas (KDFW) all the way to Zimbabwe Africa (FVWT)! Check out the flight history here -> http://air-source.us/operations/asga/fhist.asp?regno=N-9310H. Great job, Don! And keep up the great flying!

Well done to Don.. that's a real challenge... hope the weather doesn't bounce around the C172 on the continent of Africa too much!

In October and November last year, I had a lot of time to think about AirSource specifically and Sim Flying in general. As I lay in the Hospital bed last year, I really thought of the things that were very important to me. My Wife, of course is my first thought. Second that came to mind, God and Country. Third, I thought of my Friends that came to see me and then my hobbies. AirSource is the closest thing that I know of that gives the satisfaction of real world flying.
I received my PPL in 1974 at KADS in a Beechcraft Musketeer, but now I cannot pass the physical to legally fly. But, I have AirSource to help me keep sharp (heheheh).
I have fun with this place that we call AirSource. It gives us the freedom to fly where we want at any time in any aircraft we please. I mean does is not get any better that that. This experience gives me the chance to visit a land, Africa, which I will never ever see in really life.
Thank You, Tom for the aircraft and your thoughts!
Thank You - vjcarlo and Norm. And Norm, the turbulence was crazy today flying into Kamuzu Int’l Airport, Lilongwe, Malawi.
