It is with great pleasure that our AirSource Chief, Tom, and myself, can announce the awarding of AirSource's highest award to two very deserving members of our organization:
AS122 - Alan Black: Vice President Scheduled Division (EMT)
AS201 - Joe Hamilton: Vice President Information Technology (EMT)
Citations:
Alan Black. Alan joined AirSource on 10 June 2003 and has been an avid virtual aviator within our Virtual Pilot Union. He has participated in a number of events over the years and as a result of his vigor over the years in the Scheduled Division he took up the reins as VP Schedule Division after the sad passing of Roy Loucks. Alan has maintained the very high standards of dedication that Roy set and has worked untiringly in updating schedules that we have in our database. He is truly a hard worker and on behalf of all members I extend our congratulations to him on receiving this award.
Joe Hamilton. Joe joined AirSource on 27 December 2015 specifically to work on the IT aspects of our Union. He has substantial IT skills of which he uses behind the scenes to provide enhancing work on the MyAAS programme and more recently with the Crew Passes initiative. It takes a certain set of special skills (and time) to deal with technicalities of programmes for which all of our members enjoy. He has provided support to our Chief Tom in many many ways and on behalf of all members I extend our congratulations to him on receiving this award.
