List range of Phenom not accepted in flight plan

Postby vadopazzo » 20 Jan 2016 03:36

On 2 occasions, I've tried to select the Phenom 100 as the GA aircraft for a flight of less than 200nm ... in both cases I got the red error message that the aircraft wasn't able to flight that distance.

Flight Distance 190.0 Nautical Miles
Departure Airport LIPR Rimini Mil
Rimini, Italy
Arrival Airport LSZS Samedan
Samedan, Switzerland
Aircraft Make/Model Embraer
Aircraft Make/Model There are no aircraft that will be able to travel this distance. Go back and try again.

any ideas? The Phenom is a fun aircraft to fly GA flights!

Hello Barry,

The aircraft will make the flight, however there's a bit of a learning curve here in how the GA Division works.

If you look here on the aircraft details page:

http://air-source.us/Operations/asga/vi ... asp?id=876

"AS World Capacity" = 7. This means there can be a total of 7 Phenom 100 aircraft that exist. On the right column you'll see Total in AS World = 7. So right now the maximum amount of aircraft limit has been reached, and no "new" aircraft can be created.

So what now? You would need to fly one of the 7 existing aircraft, but they are all at a certain airport http://air-source.us/Operations/asga/vi ... a=&oa=&ob= so you'll need to depart one of those airports then go from there. This makes things a bit more interesting, and I had to plan around this too when I performed the Home for the Holidays event.

ah, OK! I've flown a lot of GA routes but never encountered this fact. Even though the new a/c is described in the list as "available now", it's actually not. All clear, now. Thanks
