Flight Blitzed!

Postby AS37 Norm Edwards » 25 Dec 2010 10:16

Hey Tom, seems as tho i might have been caught in between the server going down and my pirepping a flight. Flew OOKB/OIKB in the Baron 58 today. MyAAS was recording as it showed on the map, hit the final button on MyAAS after entering dep time etc, then the window went blank. Went to recall the flight but its disappeared into cyberspace. Flight still shows as a booked flight in the GAD page. I'm guessing i'll need to fly it again?

Cheers, Norm.

I had a similar issue - completed my flight and went to send the PIREP via MyAAS and I got a "page could not be displayed" message and the program closed. No flight was sent. In the process of trying to get it back up again, I accidentally killed my flight file.

It seems to me, that this can be solved easily with the latest MyAAS version on condition that the FS session (the flight) is still running at the time of pirep (or the final state of the flight is saved in FS and can be reopened). I got the same issue two or three days ago, solved successfully.

Being an ordinary MyAAS user, I'm not eligible to write more about this MyAAS feature here. But I'd like to thank Tom (and other MyAAS programmers, if any) for continuous MyAAS improvements.

Thanks and best regards :)

Hey Tom
Thank you for ALL the hard work you guys are doing for the GA folks!
I wondered if anyone else is having trouble - double - triple - etc clicking the option to select the GA Aircraft at a specific airport.
My trouble is trying to select the C172 at KDFW. Once I have clicked until my finger gets tired and my selection is finally made, I can go on to the next two steps to make my final selection and fly the flight posted in my Plan Book.
Any suggestions?
Don

Hello Don - I am not fully understanding the problem, is the before flight? Can you indicate what web page or during PIREP which page is causing you issues?

Hey Tom
These are the steps I take to Select the GA Acft at a specific Location:
AirSource (Home Page)
Pilot Operation
AirSource Flights
General Aviation Flights
View GA Aircraft
Cessna - 172 - - - - KDFW (Airplane Icon) click - click - click
(http://www.air-source.us/Operations/asga/viewac.asp)
My trouble is number of mouse clicks it takes To Select under the INFO Tab.
After I click several times - my Selection is finally made.
I noticed this glitch with my Selection about a week and half ago.
Thanks for looking at it!

Don I tried to duplicate the above but have no problem/comes up quickly. What browser do you use and it may have been a temporary server glitch or perhaps something on your isp side?
