I believe the original Cherokees were the Cherokee 150 and Cherokee 160 introduced in 1961
I can't find a reference to the cost when the 180 model was originally introduced in 1962, but the certified aircraft database states that a new 1967 180 model cost $12900.
I'll do anything to get a cheaper rental rate
