Applications for Schedule Development Officers (SDOs)

Whenever vacancies exist within the ASHA Division for SDOs, applicants (of the rank of A2 and higher and at least six months ASHA service) can apply through this thread.

Your application should be in the following format:

1. Your name and AS number.
2. Position applied for.
3. When you are available to take up this position.
4. Acknowledged content of the SDO duties Airlift Lieutenant job description (below) (YES/NO).
5. How many hours per week you can dedicate to the position.
6. Reasons why you want to join the Command SDO team.

Applications can be made either through this thread or by sending the undersigned a private message through this forum.

The following outlines the job description for the Airlift Lieutenant post.

Airlift Lieutenants Duties

1. Become proficient in ASHA scheduling. Understand how to relocate aircraft home bases as required.

2. Maintain vigilant watch over real life humanitarian situations within their own allocated continent.

3. Submit advice to their respective Wing Commander that they will be away on leave and their likely return to duty date.

4. Provide monthly sitreps to their respective Wing Commanders of current active Operations within their own continent, and further provide forecasts for routine operations that are up and coming.

5. Utilise the ASHA Aircraft Booking System for future scheduling of aircraft.

6. Peruse response to queries within the ASHA Forum. Answer to the best of your ability and with the best interests of ASHA

7. Any other responsibility that has been so directed by their respective Wing Commander.

These duties are not meant to be exhaustive and may be adjusted by the Division Commander or by recommendation of the respective Wing Commander

NOTE: Confirmation and commissioning to Airlift Lieutenant will take place after a one month probation period (for training).
