USHH not in FS2004

Postby ROGERP » 22 Jan 2014 17:44

Hi Alan

Route ID: AS122-UTABPC-1224
Booked this flt but when went to fly USHH not found in FS2004.
Am in Brasil at the moment so do not have FSX with me.
Confirmed that USHH is correct identifier in Google.
Is there an alternative airport code for FS2004?
Thanks for your splendid variety of delivery flights have really enjoyed flying the routes.
Best regards as always

Roger-
I'm not showing USHH in FS2004 either (although it is there in FSX).

There's one in the avsim file library http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=russian_airports.zip&CatID=root&Go=Search which will add it (plus two others). Not sure on the quality though.

Edit:
There's another one (which looks very nice) in the Avsim-Russia site:

http://www.avsimrus.com/files.phtml?action=download&id=16190 (a fix)

Hi Joe
Thanks for your help.
Followed the instructions downloaded Russian Airports and installed as advised.
Tried to find USHH in airport list as normal but nothing.
Am I missing something here.
Am doing something wrong somewhere?
Will try again later.
My best regards to you as always

Roger,

I Googled Khanty Mansiysk airport scenery and got the following link:

http://ivaoru.org/en/scenery/524.html

I don't have FS2004 anymore,so I'm not sure if it works for FS2004, but the FSX version did.

Roger,

I just put it in, per the read-me, and it showed up just fine. Although I must say, it's very bland. USHH is just a runway, a couple of taxiways, tower and 1 stock building. There aren't even any trees.

With the scenery and afcad folder, did you move it to the Addon Scenery/scenery or just the files inside of it? Just need to move the files. Or, if you do like I normally do and leave the folder intact and add it to the Scenery Library, you need to create a scenery folder and move the bgl's into it.

Just for fun loaded up the other one which, judging by the screenshot on the page, is the same as Roy listed. It's much better. custom buildings and objects. Easier Install, just move a folder and some effect files then add it to the library.

Hi Guys
Thanks for all your help.
I am the original "dumb buddy" wrt computers.
I entered the 'russian airfields' as per the read me, looks ok , but no show when I go to flight planner.
I entered the 'USHH' not as per read me (it is in Russian) but as used by Joe ( direct into scenery but with new folder) and again it looked ok but again "no show" in flight planner.
BID flight was time expired tomorrow so flew it yesterday to nearest airfield shown in FS2004 (USRR Surgut 110miles east of USHH ) and put explanation in PIREP.
Later I will remove everything I have done so far and start again to try and insert USHH into FS2004.
Thanks for your help and patience.
My best regards to you both
