Event Suggestion - Jean Batten's Footsteps

Team

Just stumbled upon a current across the world flight that is being undertaken in a DC3.

http://www.dc3-antipodes.com/

In 1936, at age 27, Jean Batten, from Rotorua in New Zealand, became the first person to fly from England to New Zealand. Arriving 11 days and 45 minutes after her departure from Lympne she landed in Auckland and her time was to remain a record for many years.

I'm happy to create a "mini-event" that will follow the route of this trip if there's interest from enough of you?

It will be a "first-in, first-served" for 15 bids for each leg of the trip but you MUST fly a DC3 or similar vintage aircraft. Bids would be set to expire on 31DEC12.

Lydd (England) ??? Marseille (France) ??? Brindisi (Italy) ??? Larnaca (Cyprus) ??? Amman (Jordan) ??? Kuwait ??? Muscat (Oman) ??? Karachi (Pakistan) ??? Agra Taj Mahal (India) ??? Rangoon (Myanmar) ??? Penang (Malaysia) ??? Singapore ??? Yogyakarta (Indonesia) ??? Kupang (West Timor) ??? Darwin ??? Mount Isa ??? Longreach ??? Brisbane ??? Norfolk Island (all Australia) ??? Auckland (New Zealand)

Five in favour (favor for the Americans!) that's good enough for me.

I will get the bids up in the next few days.
