JATA 2012 - Thank You, Michael

Postby as099mw » 25 Mar 2012 14:04

Michael,

I made my 37th JATA 2012 landing several hours ago. Thank You for a great event, which brought not only lot of great scenic flights but also was a kind of time machine bringing lot of RTW2005 memories. While switching from GTC to Bleed, I always saw pictures like a string of some thirty CV580s (in custom liveries made or tuned up by Andre) taxiing for take-off and departing one by another as ordered by ATC provided by Norm, then fllying more or less in formation (or in a flock? :) ) to some destination and waiting there until the last pilot was safely on ground....

Thanks and Best Regards,
Martin

Ah yes, I remember those days, we had a fantastic time! I guess these days with a mix of members using either FSX or FS9 (or earlier FS versions) its not so easy to get more people together online!

I Too at this time would like to thank you for you fine work for JATA2012.. just touch down back at KSAW. I enjoyed this event and hope to see alot more events in the future.. when I joined back in 2003 events were quite frequent.. now they seem to be few and far between..I know that alot of work goes into planning something like this..

Hi Michael,

just completed the last and final leg into KSAW, what a super event, great destinations, some amazing scenery to take in.

Nothing like flying a prop aircraft on long trips with interesting short legs, brings back the good ole stick flying etc.

Please let me know if you are planning anymore? if not i may be interested in looking at a possible tour of the middle East/Africa or maybe a European tour, far east, or the Indian pennisula, or even the Australia?

Let me know and i will start plotting some idea's

Paul

Hey guys and THANK YOU so very much for your kind comments! It is truly a pleasure to be able to give all my AirSource friends and colleagues a respite from the daily grind of flying jet propelled tubes of screaming babies and unrelenting business travelers around the world.

Ah the memories of our last RTW events.... I'll have to try to find some of those screenshots someplace.

It means a great deal to me that you all have enjoyed what I have been able to put together for you. I have some more ideas in the back of my head and am always open to suggestions. If you have an idea, please let me know. As far as when the next event might be, I am not sure. I have to consult with the powers that be to make sure we can budget it in. Even virtual organizations have budgets.....

I'll make sure I keep everyone in the loop as to anything that might come up in the future!

Michael

Thanks Michael for the good work you've put into this event, as always, meticulous planning!

Just as a side note, everyone keep your eyes peeled in the forums on something coming up soon that EMT are in the discussion stages about
