Concorde Flight's

Postby paul01942 » 26 Dec 2010 14:15

Hi all and a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!!!

In 0ctober 2003 the Supersonic Concorde was retired for ever, closing probably the most amazing chapter in aviation history, for the many people that flew on her and worked around the aircraft, she truely was a marvel, I was lucky enough to work at New York JFK from October 2000 to March 2004, based at Terminal 7 home of BA, i was privilidged to help load her, turn her around etc.

Below are a few pictures from my own collection i took at JFK:

My plan is to ressurect her to flying status, through the bid division, put back the NYC flights i intend to scowl the internet and try and find the routings for the charter flights she did, she went to no fewer than 150 different cities across the globe.

So if your ready to fly at 52000ft at more than 1200mph then embrace the bids and fly the routes when i post them, if anybody has any memories of the charter routes she flew and why, please e-mail me so i can add them.

Happy flying and let's get the queen of the skies up where she belongs in the flight sim world.

Paul

Great pictures Paul, thanks for posting them. Yes certainly I guess we won't see anything like the Concorde (for a while anyhow). I like your idea of posting bids, reminds me of our ATWIED event we had a few years back where we used the SST. I'm sure you will get some takers to fly the bids (me included!).
