Airline Route Additions

Added to the Bid Division today are some new route additions.

Each week, Airlines around the world introduce new and improved routes to their schedules. As new flights are released, they will be made available here for you to fly until the Scheduled Division Flight Managers can update the schedules. These routes are for scheduled services only, not contract or "one off" flights.

Added today are:

• airBaltic new twice-weekly service between Tallinn, Estonia and Oulu, Finland in the Fokker 50
• Air India Regional daily service between Delhi and Ludhiana, India in the ATR 42-300

  QantasLink today celebrated the departure of its newest international service, operating from Cairns to Port Moresby this morning. Flight QF191 left Cairns just before 7am and touched down in Port Moresby at 8.35am, heralding the first time Qantas has flown into the Papua New Guinea capital since 2002.
  
  The twice-weekday daily return service and weekend return service will be operated by QantasLink's Bombadier Dash 8-Q402 aircraft.

  HongKong Airlines launches its thrice weekly service with brand new A330-200 aircraft featuring lie flat Business Class seat and audio-video on demand in-flight entertainment system in Economy Class. The Company is also planning for additional Moscow flights to meet seasonal demand.

  On Tuesday 3 August 2010, the Virgin Blue airlines dispatched its inaugural Sydney to Uluru (Ayres Rock) service. The daily Sydney to Uluru Virgin Blue services depart at 10.10am, arriving at 1.20pm. The return service leaves Uluru at 2.00pm, arriving into Sydney at 5.30pm and is operated by Virgin Blue's Embraer 190 aircraft.

  On Wednesday 1 September 2010, Emirates has strengthened its links to West Africa with the launch of a new direct service to Dakar. The flight departs Dubai at 0955hrs every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and arrives in Dakar at 1600hrs. EK 798 leaves the Senegalese capital at 1740hrs and gets into Dubai at 0715hrs the following day. An Airbus A340-300 is being deployed on the route.

  On 23 December 2010, Air Asia dispatched its inaugural Bali (Denpasar, Ngurah Rai) to Darwin return service. The daily Bali-Darwin-Bali services depart Bali at 11:50pm local Bali time, arriving at 4:00am local Darwin time. The return service leaves Darwin at 4:45am, arriving into Bali at 6:00am and is operated by Air Asia's Airbus A320 aircraft.
