Terms and Conditions of Contracting to Air Taxi International

Air Taxi International (herein after referred to as ATI) in its current guise, is a logistics contractor on a short term charter basis to corporate and private customers. Short term means one-off operations of less than six weeks duration. All contracts entered into by ATI are on a wet-lease basis, with ATI providing aircraft, maintenance, fuelling and provisioning, insurance, landing, parking, storage and wages costs on the customer???s behalf for the term of the contract.

ATI draws its pilot requirements from the membership of Air Source Virtual Pilot Union, contracting those resources for the term of individual logistics operations through an arrangement with the Air Source Bid Flight Division (herein after referred to as BFD). BFD retains pilots through a loose flight-by-flight arrangement whereby pilots are paid for the hours they fly. There is no fixed contracting arrangement between pilots and BFD. BFD has agreed to continue to pay pilots an hourly stipend for ATI flight hours accrued, allowing pilots to fly for ATI exclusively during the term of their contract with ATI, on the understanding that upon completion of said short term contracts, pilots are free to return to the operations of BFD. This is agreeable to ATI, and ATI agrees to pay contracted pilots a bonus upon completion of their contracted hours with ATI. Bonus payments will differ from one logistical contract to another as each will obviously have different demands on pilots. Pilots are free to choose the hours they fly, in accordance with the understanding held with BFD. This carries over to their contracting to ATI.

ATI does require, however, that in exchange for bonus payments, awards and rewards attached to each logistical contract, pilots must complete the flights and accrued hours they agree to contract for. Penalties for non-completion of contracted hours are severe, costing affected pilots up to V$3,000 per incomplete flight.

FLIGHT STANDARDS
Event Operations (herein after referred to as EO) entered into by ATI to provide logistical support for customers will be presented to BFD pilots through the auspices of the Air Source News Bulletins and Air Source membership forums. A specific sub-forum exists under the grouping of Air Source Operations entitled ???Air Taxi International???. It is through this sub-forum that newly signed EO will be advertised, and where pilots desirous of flying for ATI during these EO should make booking requests for the individual flights or routes which will be advertised there.

All EO will vary in length and complexity in line with customer demands. Some may be as short as one multi-legged, single aircraft deployment, while others may consist of many individual flights involving many different aircraft. Pilots must decide what flights or hours they wish to contract for. Full details for available flights will be made available through the previously mentioned sub-forum arrangement.

All flights flown for Air Taxi International, including, but not limited to, operation route legs and repositioning flights, must be flown, filed, and verified using either the Active Air-Source or the My Active Air-Source programs. Any flight not filed in either of these manners will not be counted towards any form of reward offered by Air Taxi International. Furthermore, should any aircraft other than the model specified for an operation leg be used to execute said leg, that leg will not be considered satisfactorily completed.

From time to time, Air Taxi International may require the posting of flight simulator screen shots to aid in the verification of the completion of flight objectives. If such action is needed, each screen shoot must clearly display the aircraft's current latitude and longitude coordinates, in addition to either an exterior or interior view of the aircraft, depending on the situation and/or pilot preferences. There will be a discrete forum topic started in the Air Taxi International sub-forum located on the Air-Source member's forum which will be designated as the target destination of such images. Any images posted outside of such a topic will not be considered as verification of flight requirements.

BID FLIGHT BOOKINGS
Booking requests for desired flights will also be through this sub-forum arrangement. Upon reading and understanding the terms and conditions pertaining to each individual EO, pilots will be invited to request bookings for their chosen flights through a related sub-forum topic. Only when booking requests have been received will matching Bid Flights become available through the BFD ATI category on the Air Source database. This method of operation departs from the standard BFD flight booking structure in that ATI needs to know precisely which pilots are contracted to which routes/flights, in order that bonus payments, award and reward qualification may be collated and made.

There will be no restriction to the overall quantity of available bids. Any Air Source pilot wishing to participate in any Air Taxi International activities will be granted entry. The bid booking request / posting / booking arrangement is designed to simplify the monitoring and verification of individual's completion and compliance with operational guidelines. In addition, the process allows each individual pilot to select their desired level of participation, without the possible confusion associated with attempting to select only a few flights out of a large list of options due to the fact that each posted bid will have a discrete Air Source pilot ID number attached to it. Please be warned, any bids booked which are reserved for a different pilot will not be considered for any application for reward to Air Taxi International.

When a pilot requests a booking for a particular flight, an ATI-tasked Contract Development Officer will receipt that booking request by replying to the booking request in the same forum topic that the request is made, acknowledging the booking as received. A specific flight ID will be allocated which the pilot may ???book??? within 24 hours through the Air Source BFD ATI category in the Air Source database. The lead time between booking request and acceptance of contract through the BFD flight category is essential. This allows Contract Development Officers to collate booking requests and create appropriate bid flights in groups as opposed to continually shuttling back and forth between Forum and Air Source database. In addition, pilots requesting bookings for particular flights require lead time to undertake flight planning and familiarization with their aircraft. Most, if not all booking requests, will be responded to and loaded to the BFD flight category well within the 24 hour lead period.
ATI EO unique flight IDs will consist of the following structure.

ATIxxx_ASxxx

The first section - ATIxxx - is the event operation flight number. A list of flights will be provided in the flight booking request topic in the previously mentioned sub-forum. If a particular flight is listed as #6 in that list, that portion becomes ATI006. The second portion relates to the pilot requesting the booking of the flight. If the requesting pilot were ??? Norm Edwards as an example ??? that section would read AS037. The whole flight ID would read ATI006_AS037. The requesting pilot should then check the BFD ATI flight category for that flight, book it and fly it in the usual manner. This method allows ATI management to accurately track who flies which flight, collating flight hours for awards, rewards and bonus payments. These flight IDs will be allocated to requisitioning pilots when their booking requests are receipted by an ATI-tasked Contract Development Officer.

Pilots MUST UNDERSTAND that responsibility for booking their chosen flight/route is entirely theirs. A specific requisitioning structure has been developed and MUST BE USED when requesting a booking to ensure that misunderstandings do not occur. ATI-tasked Contract Development Officers will not be held responsible for pilot misunderstandings of these terms and conditions. When a pilot requests a booking for a flight, he or she MUST UNDERSTAND that they are required to fly that flight or wear the penalty, even if they have mistakenly requested a booking for an incorrect flight.

The requisitioning format is as follows:

PILOT NAME:

PILOT AIRSOURCE ID: to three digit places

REQUESTED FLIGHTS: to three digit places separated by ???space hyphen space???. ie: 001 ??? 002 ??? 003 ??? 004 ??? 005 ??? 006 ??? 007 ??? 008 ??? 009 ??? 010 ??? 011 - 012

In addition, any requisition post not following these guidelines will be disregarded and removed from the thread.

Requests for bid reposts for whatever reason shall be posted in the bid booking request thread for the operation in question following the same guidelines outlined above for the original bid booking request. Additional concerns or complaints relating to the bid requisition / posting / booking process should be conveyed through a separate topic within the Air Taxi International sub-forum on the Air-Source members forum page. Any post containing such items found within the bid requisition topic will be removed and any bid requisition associated with said post will be disregarded.

If all flights in the EO are chosen, then simply state: ALL in the REQUESTED FLIGHTS slot. Unless these instructions are followed precisely, mistakes in flight input will occur. ATI-tasked Contract Development Officers will not be held responsible for pilot misunderstandings of these terms and conditions.

AIR TAXI INTERNATIONAL REWARDS
Air Taxi International will offer a series of rewards to pilots who participate in the airline's activities, including, but not limited to, completion of operations, executing repositioning flights, and participation in screenshot contests, as well as a series of progressive rewards relating to several time milestones. To qualify for any of the aforementioned rewards, a pilot must successfully and verifiably complete all of the associated requirements. Any request for reward without completing said requirements will be dismissed without review.

Operational rewards will be given out for the successful completion of ALL route legs, as well as any additional requirements. Generally, these rewards will be displayed to the pilot population for the first time along with the opening of bid requisitions for the associated operation. Requests to see said reward before the operation is available for bidding will be denied. In addition, the staff of Air Taxi International reserves the right to alter any operational reward after it has been displayed to the public, up to such time as it has been awarded to any pilot, after which time, the reward will be frozen, and all successive awards will be identical

Time milestone awards will be given out according to the following schedule of awards:

Overall total time rewards are available at 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1000 hours verifiably flown for Air Taxi International. Each milestone will achieved will make a pilot eligible for the appropriate logbook badge reward. To commemorate a pilot reaching 1000 hours total verifiable time flying for Air Taxi International, the staff of the airline is currently considering the possibility of granting that pilot some sort of real world, tangible reward, commiserate with the level of time and involvement necessary to reach such a time milestone. Please be aware that this is still in development, and may be deemed unfeasible depending on the funding considerations involved in such a gesture.

Individual platform total number of flight / time rewards are available at the following milestones, with the first number representing the number of flights and the second representing the total time, and the reward becoming possible for whichever number is reached first, 25/50, 50/100, and 100/200 flights/hours verifiably flown for Air Taxi International. Each platform milestone achieved will make a pilot eligible for a logbook badge appropriate for that milestone. In addition to the logbook reward, each milestone will also allow the pilot access to a new, ???signature??? livery for the aircraft in question, while the third milestone earns the pilot the right to a ???custom??? livery for that airframe, painted to the pilot???s specifications, within the general framework of the Air Taxi International livery, by the one of the airline???s resident livery artists. Both the signature liveries and the custom liveries will be transmitted to the individual pilots via email, and will not be available for general consumption anywhere. These aircraft liveries are to be considered personal, non-transferrable rewards, and, as such, the files associated with them should not be shared with anyone without express permission by Air Taxi International management. Any pilot found to be using a signature or custom livery, before such time as they would have otherwise earned the right to do so, will receive a one month suspension from Air Taxi International operations and a V$3,000 fine.

Rewards terms for participation in repositioning movements and also for screenshot contests have not been determined at the time of publication of this document.

AMENDMENT TO REWARDS SECTION

Issuance of any Air Taxi International rewards, whether in the form of logbook items, such as our commemorative mugs, or V-Money bonuses, is not automatic. Any pilot wishing to receive said rewards must submit a post outlining their obligations which they have completed and what reward they have earned in the Reward Application topic, which will exist on the Air Taxi International sub-forum of the Air-Source member's forum page. All reward application posts MUST adhere to the following format:

PILOT NAME:

PILOT AIRSOURCE ID:

OBLIGATION COMPLETED:
ie: All route legs for operation Kashmiri Gold

REWARD APPLIED FOR: ie: Kashmiri Gold commemorative mug and V-Money bonus.

This format is designed to ensure that there are no errors in processing requests for rewards. Any reward request which does not follow this format will be disregarded and removed from the thread.

Once the reward application has been received, Air Taxi International staff will acknowledge receipt of the application with a receipt post reply in the reward application topic. ATI staff will then proceed to verify that the pilot in question has completed all associated reward obligations, after which time the reward will be applied to the pilot's account. Lead time between receipt of an application to when it is applied will be between 24 hours and one week, depending on the number of concurrent applications.

Please be aware, screen shots are not permitted in the reward application topic. A separate forum topic must be started for any elective screen shots, and, should a screen shot be part of a reward's obligations, there will be a separate forum topic started by Air Taxi International staff for that purpose. Any reward application post containing a screen shot will be deleted and not considered by ATI staff, regardless of otherwise proper formatting. This rule is in place to ensure that all reward applications can be processed quickly, efficiently, and accurately. It is not our intention to discourage the posting of screen shots in any way, rather to have them placed in an appropriate place, where they will not interfere with ATI operations.

Amendment to Flight Booking Section

Postby treblesum81 » 13 Jan 2009 21:51

AMENDMENT TO BID FLIGHT BOOKING SECTION

Due to the fact that there is no way to restrict an Air Source pilot from booking a flight which has not been "assigned" to them, Air Taxi International management have decided to alter the bid requisition / posting / booking method dramatically. Participating pilots will no longer receive personally assigned flights in the Air Taxi International bid flights category as this not only proved too complicated, but also easily derailed when non-participants booked flights not assigned to them. Instead, bids will be posted as in groups with a common flight ID, much in the same way bids have been posted in the past for other Bid Flight Division "Events". Pilots who wish to participate any Air Taxi International operation MUST STILL POST A REQUISITION FOR THEIR BIDS IN THE BID REQUISITION TOPIC FOR THE OPERATION IN QUESTION AND FAILURE TO DO SO WILL DISQUALIFY THEM FROM RECEIVING ANY REWARDS FROM AIR TAXI INTERNATIONAL. Furthermore, pilots will still be required to post an application for reward in the reward application topic to be eligible for any reward given by Air Taxi International.

Bid requisitions will still be checked frequently and receipts will still be given to the requisitioning pilots. Bid flight postings will be reviewed and, if need be, updated with new bids to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted experience for participating pilots.

In addition to these changes, any flights remaining which followed the old format will be converted over to the new format in the new location over the next few days. This is done primarily to facilitate easier monitoring of the bid postings, as well as to reduce the number of flight IDs all ATI pilots must sort through to book their selected flights.
