The Space Corridor

Postby as099mw » 14 Dec 2018 14:31

Fifty years ago, on December 21, 1968, Apollo 8 was launched and became the first manned spacecraft to leave Earth orbit, reach the Moon, orbit it and safely return. The three astronauts, Frank Borman, James Lovell and William Anders became the first humans to orbit another celestial body.

Whether You remember those famous Christmas days or not, You can watch lot of Apollo 8 footage on Youtube. But not only that.

At the times of Apollo, Eastern Airlines operated a set of flights connecting four key centers of aerospace activity. Seattle, St. Louis, Huntsville and Cape Canaveral (the then Cape Kennedy). The set of flights was called The Space Corridor (click the link to see the leaflet).

You now can fly the whole Space Corridor round-trip. Visit Air Source Crew Pass Gateway and search for special SPACECORRIDOR crew passes.

Enjoy nine 727-200 flights (Eastern Airlines 1967 timetable).
