Cargo Flights

Postby AS129 - Michael » 06 Jul 2019 21:49

For all of the cargo fliers in the group, I have been working on getting some updated flights online during the past couple of weeks.

Without accurate timetables to go on since cargo carriers tend to not publish them (especially after 9/11), I am getting 30 days worth of flights off of each aircraft in their fleet from Flightradar24 in Excel and running some macros I have written and creating a semi accurate timetable based on that data. I would probably venture to say these are going to 95% accurate.

If you have a specific cargo carrier you would like to me to work, let me know in this thread.

Completed:

ABX Air (ABX)
AeroLogic (BOX)
Cargolux (CLX)
Polar Air Cargo (PAC)
CargoLogicAir (CLU)
Atlas Air (GTI)

Currently working:

ASL Airlines (ABR)

Future projects:

Nice work Michael !

I'd always be interested to see the same done for Atlas Air (GTI) and Polar (PAC), and if at all possible, CargologicAir (CLU).

As may be obvious, I'm a big fan of flying B744/748 cargo routes

Hello Michael,

Would it be possible to add ASL Airlines please?

I'm hoping for some short/medium cargo flights around Europe.

Thanks in advance

Hey Dave,

Just finished a big upload with Atlas Air, am going to start with ASL Airlines in the morning. Should take a couple of days to get it up.

So far haven't had too many issues. Since there are no "real" timetables out there for cargo anymore, I have been importing all the completed flights for some cargo outfits from FlightRadar24 and making a 90% accurate schedule out of them.

Good thing is I have a Gold Membership there and can go back quite a ways to grab historical data. While it takes me a while to pull all the data and run my macros on it through Excel, it's better than the years old schedules we've got now.

As someone who likes flying primarily Cargo flights (can't seem to get away from my real-life work - not flying - cargo  ) I appreciate all of your efforts as well as yours Lee in the Crew Pass division.
