UPS

Postby Leemazz » 16 Oct 2016 13:23

Hello

Why do the MD11F flights keep getting removed , for some reason the routes keep deleting from the DB

SDF - DEN - SDF
SDF - PHX - SDF
SDF - IAH - SDF
HKG - TPE - HKG
CGN - HKG
DXB - PVG
PDX - ANC

Or direct routes like CGN - PVG https://www.flightradar24.com/data/airc ... p/#b19fd6e

What has happened to it ?

There is more but that is just a few

Lee,

I wasn't sure but went ahead and created a page that I will add to the scheduled division ADMIN menu area.

Look at page below:

http://air-source.us/operations/schedul ... RCRAFT=M1F

You can change aircraft airline, airports, etc. see instructions on page.

Perhaps it was a mistake? I can run a script to restore the flights, but I'll need to know is it ALL UPS flights and all M1F aircraft that need to be restored?

Hello Tom

It is not all the flights some have correctly been removed . I will add them myself later Tom , its easier that way as i know which ones have been removed that are still current

What I did was go through the flights flown by each UPS aircraft over the last week and adjusted the schedules from there. In an effort not to have duplicate flights, the aircraft that flew the majority of the flights in that period is the one that was assigned in the schedules.

As an example, UPS2804 (SDF-DEN) is typically flown once/week by the M1F, with the rest of the flights being 76Y. Rather than have two entries, I made this a 76Y flight and figured folks could easily sub the M1F if they wanted to, just like UPS does..

On the SDF-PHX route, I can only find 2 flights out of the almost 15 that I can see in Flightaware history were flown by the M1F, so the same applied here.

With PDX-ANC, there is only one instance of that flight being flown at all in recent history, and that was UPS9302. As we know, the UPS9xxx flights are ferries or specials, and therefore shouldn't be part of the scheduled database since they aren't a regular scheduled flight.

Without going through all the examples one by one, this is why I did what I did and as a result, alot of those flights are missing or scheduled by other aircraft.

If you've got a better source and want to share, I'd love to see it since I have a history with UPS and want it to be as accurate as possible. Like I said, there's always substitutions and the Crew Passes if there's something a little different that's not included in the schedules.

Yeah, the cargo carriers have always been a challenge, and you all do wonders with them!!

Okay if there's anything I can help with let me know.

I dont agree with subs , i look at M1F flights and not 76Y flights

I do have a different source and that is flightradar24 ,

I thought schedules where released every 6 months by airlines .

I agree with the flights starting 9XXX and UPS flights with 15XX are charters

https://www.flightradar24.com/data/airc ... p/#b5061be , PDX - ANC 5X2998 , flown weekly

Flightradar24 is much better then Flightaware because some airlines block Flightaware , example is Western Global Airlines dont show up on Flightaware but on Flightradar they do and also you get worldwide coverage for a small monthly fee

Here is the direct CGN - HKG flown on Monday i think 5X4
https://www.flightradar24.com/data/airc ... p/#b54dc12

I have added some flights as crew passes , CGN - HKG is one of them
