ERA Alaska

Postby AS201 Joe » 03 Mar 2013 14:26

Just going through the ERA Alaska flights I noticed (possibly) a bad airport.

There are 8 flights that depart/arrive at NUI / KNUI Webster OLF which gives a route distance of either 2906 or 3068 nm. Well outside the range of a B1900D :)

I'll just pick from other flights...just thought I would point them out for further reference.

All fixed Joe.

KNUI is actually Webster Field used by the Naval Electronic Systems Engineering Activity in St. Inigoes, Maryland. It doesn't have an official IATA code, but the flights were departing and arriving there because the database showed it with the same IATA code which Era Alaska is using in their flight schedules. The incorrect IATA code has been removed and the flights have all been re-entered correctly.

Even FlightAware has it screwed up.

I also removed a Jetairfly (JAF) B767 flight which was departing from Nuiqsut and arriving in Brussels, Belgium. I doubt if Nuiqsut Airport's gravel runway is long enough to handle a Boeing 767.

Thanks, Roy.

I doubt if Nuiqsut Airport's gravel runway is long enough to handle a Boeing 767.

Might be fun to try though.
