Flight search query.

Postby HoratioWondersocks » 26 May 2019 15:41

Up until today if I am searching for my evening flight, I input my aircraft choice ,and flight length ,then search ,if iam not satisfied with what's on offer I simply go back to the selection page and maybe as an example I selected the Airbus A340 I wasn't satisfied so would try the A340 -300 the length of flight would still be retained , now what I find is the length of flight is not retained so I have to input it all over again.
I don't now why this has changed ,I have tried Dolphin, Chrome and another browser (can't remember the name offhand) but the result is the same I keep having to I put the flight distance preferences again, This is more annoying that you might think.

Cheers Andy

Hi Andy,

I replicated what you were doing and was able to retain the options (I use IE). This sounds like browser setting like cache or something like that, I'm not very good with those things but there have been no changes made on the page or website at all. You may or may not know but the website was down the past 2 days due to an unrelated problem.

I use CCleaner and Supurb Game Boost with FireFox and sometimes they will clear any auto-fill info esp. saved passwords. Maybe check your browser settings as to what to retain and what not to retain.
I hope this newbie helped.

Thanks Kelly
I use IE on my PC and will try that tonight to see what occurs.
The problem iam having is with my Android tablet using either Chrome or Dolphin .
Iam sure either both (but definitely one of them used to save my search criteria) now neither of them do and it's surprisingly irritating having to re-enter everything each time .
Anyway I will try IE on my PC
Tonight.

Thanks for your help.

Even though IE works for me, I tried Google Chrome and the settings did NOT retain. Wish I knew more about how to set the browser up so it did retain the settings though :( But I use IE anyway just want to try and help. The cache settings on the web page have been set all along so that it should retain...

My Chrome does the same thing, clears the info when pressing the back button.

As a work around, hold down the 'CTRL' key when clicking on search and it will open the results in a new tab (or 'SHIFT' for a new window)

Hello Joe
The ctrl key trick won't work on my Android tablet.
I now have three browsers
Number 1
Chrome this doesn't retain search details ( I don't think it ever has despite fiddling with various settings ie cleaning cache etc.
Number 2
Dolphin browser...... iam sure this browser DID use to retain info ,but no longer does ( I think there was an update recently) maybe that has had something to do with it.
Number 3
Firefox browser
This browser does retain the search criteria.

Thanks to you all for your help with this.

Andy
