Overland 772, Missing Tanks, & a little FDE Touch

Postby AS-487 T. Headlam » 24 Nov 2009 10:14

The other day I Noticed a flight going to New Dehli(VIDP), From O'Hare(KORD).
One of my monthly routes and using the same equipment I normally use.
Thinking to myself I hope his FDE is modified or he's not going to make it.
Couple hours later, American 292 was off the map and never PIREP.
I was in this situation a couple months ago. With the MP3 of the EAGLES in background.
She was never able to even make the limit.

Missing two Main fuel tanks.
Well nuff said, Here is a a little adjustment on the FDE for the OVERLAND 772 with added Tanks.
I made a little Tweaks on the Flight tuning and adjusted the thrust Scaler and the TurbineEngineData options a bit, for Lift of full weight with that Heavy feel.

Off Topic: M_PARE. I recieved your Email friend, Gmail been acting up for the last two days now. Reply as soon as I Can. :)

For lift of MTW, With stable velocity for taxi.

[TurbineEngineData]
fuel_flow_gain=0.001 //Gain on fuel flow
inlet_area=97.885 //Square Feet, engine nacelle inlet area
rated_N2_rpm=29920 //RPM, second stage compressor rated value
static_thrust=93700 //Lbs, max rated static thrust at Sea Level
afterburner_available=0 //Afterburner available?
reverser_available=1 //Thrust reverser available?

[jet_engine]
thrust_scalar=0.98

And most important, The fuel Tanks.

[fuel]
Center1 = 0.0, 0.0, -4.0, 17880, 3.0 //Longitudinal (feet), Lateral (feet), Vertical (feet), Usable(gallons), Unusable (gallons)
LeftMain = -6.0, -30.0, 0.0, 9300.0, 3.0 //Longitudinal (feet), Lateral (feet), Vertical (feet), Usable(gallons), Unusable (gallons)
RightMain = -6.0, 30.0, 0.0, 9300.0, 3.0 //Longitudinal (feet), Lateral (feet), Vertical (feet), Usable(gallons), Unusable (gallons)
LeftAux = -9, -49, 0.0, 4370, 0
RightAux = -9, 49, 0.0, 4370, 0
fuel_type=2 //Fuel type: 1 = Avgas, 2 = JetA
number_of_tank_selectors=4
electric_pump=1

These might be the same as packaged, I'm not sure but it would not hurt to post.

[TurbineEngineData]
fuel_flow_gain=0.001 //Gain on fuel flow
inlet_area=97.885 //Square Feet, engine nacelle inlet area
rated_N2_rpm=29920 //RPM, second stage compressor rated value
static_thrust=93700 //Lbs, max rated static thrust at Sea Level
afterburner_available=0 //Afterburner available?
reverser_available=1 //Thrust reverser available?

[Reference Speeds]
flaps_up_stall_speed=138.0 //Knots True (KTAS)
full_flaps_stall_speed=122.0 //Knots True (KTAS)
cruise_speed=482.0 //Knots True (KTAS)
max_mach = 0.90
max_indicated_speed = 350
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Average cruise speed for trip of KORD-VIDP, around .81 Never .84, You will burn out the tanks ninety two percent of the way.

My Shockwave Config.

[LIGHTS]

light.9 = 6, 86.000, 0.80, -7.80, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow.fx ,

Cheers!
