MyAAS

Postby TheDude71 » 16 Nov 2009 20:30

Afternoon gents.

I have downloaded MyAAS, but can not seem to figure it out. I have looked on the web site for insrtuctions, but only found install instructions.

Is it possible to get a quick "how to" to get this program running. Am I right by saying it looks like I need a saved flight in order to us MYAAS?? Or when I set a scheduled flight, where do i save these to use MYAAS.

Thanks for any help!!

Brett, we'll skip step 1 (Install MyAAS)
2. You must have booked flights at AirSource to use MyAAS...either Bids, Scheduled or ASHA flights.
3. Open MyAAS and go to FILE.
4. Select "download pre-booked flights"
5. A window will open listing all your booked flights (from all divisions).
6. Select the flight (or flights) you wish to download (one at a time).

You can stop here, if you wish, and use the flights at a later time or continue...

7. Now click MyAAS "FILE" again and choose "Load locally saved flight"
8. From the window that opens select the ONE flight you are going to fly.
9. The MyAAS window will now populate with your selected flight's info.
10. Click START when you want to begin recording time.
11. Click STOP when you are done flying.

At this point MyAAS has saved your flight time for this flight. You can resume flying (if you were not done) later or you can PIREP...

12. Select File and "Pirep locally saved flight".
13. Select the flight you wish to pirep from the list.

It should be painless after that.

Thanks for the quick reply! You beat me to it, besides it's good to have a write-up for how-to on MyAAS. Even though it started as a very basic program, it is growing just a bit more complex for each major update.

That's what I like about AirSource...you usually can get help from the "general population". :P sounds like prison "speak"

Ok, I hope this thread can help anyone having problems with MyAAS. So as you can see I had problems with the install. After I thought it was running, I was wrong. The error I was getting was this after about 10 sec of the program running:

Could not load file or assembly 'MySql.Data, Version=1.0.7.30072

After researching this error, I found the fix and here it is:

http://download.softagency.net/MySQL/Downloads/Connector-Net/mysql-connector-net-1.0.7.zip

Run this and it will install itself. After doing that, It looks like I am in business. Been running MyAAS for 17 minutes and no error codes.

Kind of a pain in the ass fellas, but if any other pilots are interested in running this program instead of AAS I hope this will help you!!

Now I too have the blue monitor...YAHOO!!
