Aircraft categories

Postby Lochnivar-AS430 » 04 Feb 2009 05:46

Ok, this probably has been talked to death, and probably is a moot point.

I was looking at the aircraft categories and the DEJL caught my eye. especially the F70/F100. Then the ER4.

I don't know if those belong in the same category as say, the B757.

Just a comment. Feel free to ignore :)

There is a good selection of aircraft in that catagory Michael , problem is though the 757 is just between the 767 and the 737 . Its a fair point you make .

I understand the categories and their purposes.

I know we don't want to get to deep into compatibility. Splitting aircraft down into that much detail (A 767 is a larger capacity than a 757 etc. etc.) would make aircraft categories a pure nightmare.

I just think the extreme diferences (ER4 vs 767) are unrealistic from a compatibility stand point.

Maybe a DEJM? something for the F70/100, ERJ's, CRJ's and the like.

Again, I'm just tossing ideas around :) I always have to stir the pot
