PLEASE HELP! (punches wall and throws joystick)

Postby bigrobmjca AS350 » 19 Jan 2009 22:43

I have a question. I'm just about to throw this piece of **** flight simulator off the roof. I flew for SEVEN hours, and the damn thing crashes. I saved the flight immediatly in AAS. LUCKILLY, I had taken a break about 30 minutes before this happened. Can I keep going, and just start back at the most recent save, although I would be backtracking in AAS? I had about 85 miles to go when it crashed, I would be starting back up with about 200 miles to go. Can I just start back at my most recent save PLEASE????

Note: it was a computer crash I'm speaking of, not a plane crash.

Sorry to hear of all the computer issues. Yes, it's fine to start and resume your flight, even though it may be some miles behind where you actually left off in AAS. Just be sure to include it in your PIREP remarks.

Hi,

For FS9 there is FSAutoSave that you can get to match up with the AAS saves. So in case of a computer crash or freeze you can restore very close to the same point.

For FSX, Peter Dowson's FSUIPC4 contains an Auto Save utility.
